Hello, I’m Monica Santos, I’m so happy you’re considering acupuncture for healing. It’s an honor to provide acupuncture to our corner of Connecticut. I have included some details about my educational background below and a few personal details so that you can get a better idea of the person who will be providing your treatment.
I am a Board-Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture through the NCBAHM with a Bachelor’s of Science and Masters of Acupuncture degree from Pacific College of Health Sciences. I trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, advanced training and certification in Facial Rejuvenation, and Trigger Point Therapy, also known as dry needling. I’m not only passionate about acupuncture I’ve also received additional qualifications in the health and wellness field including becoming a licensed massage therapist, and a certified nutrition coach. All of these interests and training enhance a holistic approach to the way I perform treatment.
My acupuncture experience started after seven years of suffering with the pain and discomfort of a broken tailbone, trying various other treatments. I can tell you I hadn’t sat down comfortably for seven years. Sitting on a train or plane was the absolute worst. I signed up for 12 sessions of acupuncture, knowing that it was something I had for a while and would likely take some time for it to be resolved. After the fifth session my pain was gone. And it has never come back. Acupuncture became part of my self care routine and shared it’s effectiveness with my friends and family. Though I was hooked on acupuncture, it took a while for me to commit to the rigger of acupuncture school.
Acupuncture has come full circle with the opening of my own acupuncture practice in New Fairfield. Acupuncture is effective for many of the issues that keep us from enjoying every part of our day. It’s important to me that everyone exploring acupuncture has a comfortable experience. I want you to feel comfortable and heard. I work with every patient to ensure they are reassured and informed about the process of receiving acupuncture. You are welcome, whether this is your first time with acupuncture or your 100th.
I treat each patient where they are on their health journey, acknowledging that every individual’s experience is unique. Be sure to check the What We Treat section for more details of the types of conditions appropriate for acupuncture treatment.
You’re not alone on your journey to feeling better. I see you, I hear you and I’ve been you. It’s your time to feel better, make your appointment below.
